The situation of your friend is similar to mine. I have a B.E. degree in Biotechnology and have been working since 3 years as a software developer in a MNC. I have enrolled myself for a Technical Writing course so that this will be like a platform for me to switch to Technical Writng.
I believe that I am good in oral and written communication and can do well as a Technical Writer. I wish your friend ‘All the Best’ from my side.

It would be interesting for someone to set a topic of interest and importance to technical communication, crowdsource an annotated bibliography, and then see what we get from within and outside STC’s purview. Would you consider that a good test of this quoted statement?
